Biography

Jim Kimbel is the Chief Financial Officer of Footprint. In this role, he is responsible for leading the Company’s finance, accounting and information technology strategy in support of its global expansion.

Jim brings a wealth of financial expertise and strategic leadership across multiple industries, including sustainable consumer goods, investment management, and automotive technology. Over his career, he has led financial operations for startups, high-growth companies, and multinational corporations, closing over $70 billion in M&A and licensing transactions.

Most recently, Jim served as CFO and Co-Founder of Old Sol Farms, where he developed and launched the world’s first sustainable grocery business supporting regenerative agriculture. Prior to that, he founded and led The Investment Collective, an investment organization targeting early-stage businesses, and Acumen Consulting Group, where he guided corporate restructuring, fundraising, and financial strategy for companies across multiple industries.

With a strong track record in financial strategy, capital allocation, and operational leadership, Jim brings invaluable expertise to scaling Footprint.

Jim holds a Master of Science in Finance from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI.
